Regulator Australia Pty Ltd – trading as Regulator Electronic Controls – was incorporated on the 24th April 1974 initially importing a range of Swedish made controls biased more toward a heating market rather than a cooling market like Australia.
To overcome the limitations of these imported controls, Regulator began designing and manufacturing its own range of control products in 1977 and during this period when many control companies, both large and small, have come and gone, Regulator have been actively engaged in designing, locally manufacturing, selling, installing and servicing electronic control systems for the Air-conditioning industry.
Regulator have developed an extensive range of control products with many innovative design features ranging from sensors, set points, package unit controllers, domestic temperature controllers, digital indicating controllers for temperature, humidity, pressure and flow as well as fan coil unit controllers with and without communications, servomotors for both damper and valves, to direct digital controllers – DDC – including VAV controllers and velocity sensors.
Regulator also manufacture its own range of VAV terminals, available with electric or hot water reheat coils, of which many thousand have been exported to South-East Asian countries, as well as to projects throughout Australia.
Regulator is continually looking to the future, developing new product and systems, including innovative features and interoperability with other control systems, by standardised communications protocol ANSI/ ASHRAE 135-1995 standard, BACnet, so as to bring to the Australian and regional air-conditioning market, control products and systems of world-class design, backed by Regulator’s two year warranty on all of its products.
